Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hark the Helegant Angels Sing
Oooh, cutting LD. ;-)

I listened to Tom's 'good idea' and found myself almost shouting at the radio, "Don't say it Tom, just don't." But he did...

The scriptwriters know how to wind me up :-)

I thought Kirsty and Helen were best friends - you'd have thought she would have mentioned it or Helen would have noticed.....

Everyone keeps going on about how Helen and Kirsty are 'best friends'. I've seen no evidence of them actually being 'best friends'. They seem to only ever have incredibly stilted conversations and never spend any time together.

(The same applies with Helen and Emma. And Helen and Ian.)

See also Helen and Kaz!

I think it's fair to say Helen's friendships have been effected quite severely due to Rob's influence. (Kirsty also due to not mentioning Tom didn't want to marry her)

They make a big deal about Helen having friends because she comes across as such a difficult person a lot of the time and it's hard to imagine her being able to form and maintain friendships!

I wouldn't be Helen's friend. In a world of drains and radiators, she's always been a Drain with a capital D.

Given that I don't remember Helen ever having done anything nice for anyone else, she's actually (apparently) got quite a lot of friends!

(I seem to be very anti-Helen today. That's because I find her quite annoying.)

Oh dear, I quite like Helen. And Pip.

I think that's one of the genius things about the Archers; just as in real life, the characters are "real" people, some folks like them, some folks don't, even when presented with exactly the same displayed behaviour.
