Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Don't worry! I tried to teach myself from a book and ended up making rats' nests but I've just been on a beginner's course and it all made so much more sense when the teacher was right in front of me.

If it's anything like our group, people will be working at different paces. Some had done quite a bit before and were just reminding themselves how to crochet, and some of us were complete newbies. But no one was holding anyone else up. We just got different amounts done in the time.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

I only managed it when the teacher at our class said it was OK to hold the yarn in the right hand and wrap it round the hook like knitting - she said lots of people who learned to knit first found similar issues

Good tip, HB. I might give that a go as it feels odd holding it in the left hand after knitting.
