Lots of people slag them off for being heavy and unwieldy but it’s pretty bomb-proof and has given us a lot of fun. If I was going back to paddling and expeditioning I would be looking to buy either a Mad River Explorer 15 or a Wenonah Prospector 16.

I don't need a bigger rig! It's for Swallows and Amazons and see if the grandson or other family / friends kids want to try it. A Mirror would actually be best, but they're wooden and unlikely to find one that is sound and low maintenance. G
