Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hope the 16/8 goes well for you Totriornottotri. I've been playing about with it for a year or so.

Definitely feel the better for it. Can't say for sure if it is IF, eating better, monitoring calories or, as likely a mix of all + miles. But I've brought my weight down from just under 12 st, to just over 10.5. Body Fat% hovers around 13% these days, would have been 15%+ this time last year.

The missus has also fasts and has seen great "gains".

Also found investing in a set of smart scales to be a really good buy. Have really helped to keep me honest.

It's not wildly restrictive either, I eat 2,000 + running calories a day. I'd say most days I'm looking to hit north of 2,750 calories. If I get a good hard long run in I can really fill my boots!

That’s amazing. I have had a great start. Lost 3lb and don’t feel that hungry. I have a coffee (or two) for breakfast. I have been hitting 1500 calories and don’t feel weak. I’m around 28 BMI and about 10kg over my okay weight and the another 5kg to happiest weight. Another 3kg would be race weight (I’m not after that)!

Yes that’s it or 11-7 I’ve seen as an option. You can apparently have around 50kcal without breaking it so a filter drip coffee with semi skimmed milk should be fine. I’ve also read that some loss it just because you miss a meal essentially and have less time to stuff your face. You also can’t feast all night in front of the telly. I have also seen one place say you can eat whatever you want in those 8hours - I’m a sailor, that’s like a red rag to a bull. I can put away a lot of scran! That’s why we’re in this state!

I ended up doing almost 18:6 on Monday, and I only drank water and coffee during the 18.

Thanks. I never normally eat or drink after 7.30pm anyway (except a Fri and Sat ) so i just need to think about the morning as I do normally like to have breakfast before work
