Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Congrats Sushi and Goofee - I haven't even made it to the pool yet - marathon training keeps me too busy. I'll get back to it in May.

Almost lovely swim in the lido today. Only almost as they'd been cleaning the pool before our session so stirred up all the green stuff and visibility was rubbish. Still, lane to myself so can't complain.

Paused just past Oranj's note about a cafe with scones. Now I really want a scone!

I haven't managed to swim since I finished but should manage a dip in the lake tomorrow.

Ditching the wetsuit but will probably use socks and gloves

I went in our local Loch this week for my first o/w dip of the year (not counting a 50m ice relay in March).

Managed to last 30mins, but I wore every single piece of swim kit I own.

Temp was about 10.5C so not too shivery afterwards.

Was that air or water temp JulesR?

The water was 11.4c last time I swam 2 weeks ago and 12c last week so hoping for around 12.5c today. It a shallow lake so temp changes quickly in both directions!

Water temp 10.5, but fortunately the sun came out after so it felt ok when changing Lochside.

Nice Jules. Not quite wetsuit ditching twmp esp if you want a proper swim.

Manley had leaped to 13.9c today. Gloves and socks only. Felt lovely to get out of the wetsuit again.
