Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

:( Are you busy on the 20th and 21st of September Barky? There's an event both those days in my diary that should be fairly close to where you are. NOC and DVO, check their websites...

I did a 3.2km course today, classed as "moderate, orange/light green". 1 hour 25 minutes. It was a bit tough. I swear the lady at the start said "you can see most of them from the paths". Nah. Maybe half of them. Had a problem with scale again; I need to get a lot better at realising how short the distances are. This time, though, I looked at the key a lot more, and the little "x"s for picnic table/bench were a great help. Fences and gates too. I just need to practice a bit more often.

Next informal local one is 8th Nov. There is a district event on Oct 26th, but I'm not sure I'm quite ready for that. Plus it's £7 to enter! I expect a goody bag for that price!

Have had to delay my orienteering debut due to sciatic nerve problems :( Can't wait to give it a go once I'm fully recovered - may be helpful to get me back run/walking again!!!

Good plan Roo :-) I've done every six day bar one since '89 and they've all been highly enjoyable, quality orienteering plus they've taken me to some great places (and cake shops + pubs ;-) ).
