Next for me is more Wednesday Evening Summer series, a pretty easy introduction to orienteering with a nice social at the nearest pub afterwards Next one is somewhere in Marlow, funny that finding the actual meeting place for the event seems to be a harder challenge than running around the woods.

Its always the case KR2. If you get chance to go to a Sunday event I would recommend it as a good challenge :). What area are you in?

I'm in Berkshire Roo, are the Sunday events an all day thing or is it just a few hours in the morning/afternoon?

Just a few hours, depending on travel time of course. Usually starts are from about 10am-12noon (check the event information, this can vary) and you are there for as long as it take you to register and run. Definately not all day.

Could be the thread for me this. I need to seriously improve my map reading skills before my next adventure race in Sept. I came last in my previous race and it was down to shite map reading. Anyone know anywhere in Hampshire that does the map reading stuff
