Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Roo,

Thanks for the comments, and well done. Yes it was steep and hot hard work but then it would be Macc Forest if it was flat. Interestingly, people who have run there before commented it is much more open than previous years, making it much better to run in.

Excellent event DM, thanks for the hardwork. I only ran Saturday but I really enjoyed it. Macc Forest is definitely getting softer, the scar count was well down and unlike previous races the loss of a limb never seemed a distinct possibility ;-)

Well done Roo, always good to see an SYO win :-) Carsington Pastures is lovely running, but maybe I'm biased as I only live just off the map and get to run there pretty much daily.

Well I have a rather large bruise on my shin that would disagree with that sentiment flyingfinn :P But maybe I've gone soft in my old age ;)

Just finished taking the last of the equipment back to the stores, that's the one thing about O events, you can't just get in your car and go home afterwards as organisers. It was really pleasant walking through the higher woods of Macc Forest collecting the stiles with no-one else around, the best patch of bluebells in the whole forest which I hope most people saw at some stage.

If there are any comments about the courses or organising that we can use for future reference please fmail me.

No O this weekend but I rashly entered a 52 mile bike ride and find my start time is 8.15 on Sunday morning....

Any recommendations for fun, informative or Fetch like Orienteering websites??

thanks:)

Raced around my second event last wednesday, and loved it:) results aren't posted yet but I know I ran like a loony to make up for the lost time caused by thinking the first checkpoint was at the opposite end of the forest. Doh!!

I've not found one KR2... although some club websites are quite good and some have message boards and the like.

Really glad you are enjoying it :) Whats next?
