Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

The LWAC summer 5k series is still happening, yes. It's on Wednesdays, as are most races in this fine county over the summer - I'm fresh back from our Croxby Crawl, for instance.

I have'nt run it since 85, used to consist of a half, a 10 mile, 10 k and a quarter marathon iirc, just wondering if it still existed in that format ?

That's quite an interesting concept- something for everyone. I've not heard about it.

Croxbies are 3x 4.44 milers, 2 x 8.88 milers and 1 x 13.1 miler, one race every month, but although historic records are kept and there's an all-time ranking, there's no prizes for best performances in the whole series.

The Wolds Dash series in Louth does award prizes for multiple races in the series - it's five (?) off-road races of varying cross-country style distances. I've not got round to running one of those yet, though.

Hey, super stuff Minardi. I was starting to get scared that this was going to be a hugely, horribly expensive mistake.

Cayke is, of course, most welcome. I'm sure we can find somewhere for a "social" afterwards as well - although I notice that there are a few abstainers amongst our number. As, usually, am I...

Will try really hard to make this, if I'm back in Horncastle by 2:00pm from holiday it should be possible. Thanks to Minardi for the FB invite
