Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

It's a special place. SimonF and I were up there on Saturday, we went out to Meugher, supposedly the loneliest hill in Yorkshire. It's all grouse territory round there.

The British Orienteering Champs aren't far away from there this year: boc2019.org.uk (Arncliffe and Kilnsey North)

Actually more Littondale than Wharfedale. Stef and I have spent many hours in this area including in the back bar of the Flacon. It is very special

Oranj - I know! I'm helping organise it!

It was a more general point.

DT - yep, we're starting it from arncliffe, which is fortuitous given the TdY route choice that day

Hope it goes well fozzy. Stef got into running through orienteering at school and loves nap and compass work (I’m not a fan). Is there any chance of her obtaining a map after the event please? The little excerpt on the web-site looks stunning!

Ah Ha, I hope it goes well fozzy. I am pondering sticking in an entry.

Derby Tup - there will almost certainly be a map on boc.routegadget.co.uk after the event.

I'd have thought you'd have been well up for a bit of running using a compass, followed by a nap on the hillside DT! (only in the summer though obviously!) ;-)

Possibly on maps. It depends on how many extras we order and who they go to after the event. For major events, we only order maps for Pre-entries plus maybe a few spares.

I'm hoping to add a couple of spare blank maps in the order, so I'll ask....

Oranj - do it! Going to be a good weekend. I think the MSR at Bradford Uni is going to be great fun too - it's a small campus, so the racing will be very fast and furious!
