Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Don't know about donkeys but I know I don't like strawberries. I'm quite fond of kumquats.

Duchess my Dad was from Birmingham.

From what I remember it was when I was little and we used to have Sunday afternoon drives out into the countryside. The sharing of sweets on the journey with me and my sister was ... Like giving a donkey strawberries... :)

Never heard the expression but found myself singing a bit of Anthony Newley. Before most of you lots time, darlings.

It's at the very end of his version of 'Strawberry Fair' - a favourite from my childhood

'Now, Ri-fol, Ri-fol, Tol-de-riddle-li-do,
Ri-fol, Ri-fol,

Strawberries. Shan’t be round tomorrow
The donkey’s pinched all the strawberries
Hee-hee-hee-hee.'

It's actually pre Ramblin Syd.

The Dame owes much of his singing style to Anthony Newley. Am not the first to notice this.

Am also off donkey and strawberry related topic.

I feel I need to find a donkey. And some strawberries. My horse didn't like blackberries or bananas although some equines do. That's no help at all is it?
