Unusual newt, jda - did you get an explanation as to why they broke down the door rather than called someone? I hope the fan turns up swiftly and the boiler can be fixed - we often run out of oil and have no heating, but to have no hot water either would be horrible ![]() not much newt here, I do have a nice new running T, it's from the newish small brand Harrier and has pockets: one zipped at the back that will take a jacket, one on each side that would be good for gels and a tiny one on each sleeve - probably for a key? I'm not sure how comfortable that would be, whether it would bounce around - don't know until I try it. Sleeve pockets would be a good place for a parkrun barcode and/or the emergency fiver though. |

Nope, there was just some well-meaning but fairly useless receptionist who waffled that he probably hadn’t been seen recently. Which given that the doctor had visited a couple of days previously and he hardly goes out anyway was obviously just fobbing me off - there was no actual explanation or notes from the officer responsible. We have confirmed the well-meaning handyman who called the police had no specific appointment. I suppose the police didn’t know who to call but I wonder how much time and effort they put into trying.

Ohhh intrigued by the newt pocketed top off to look at Harrier, i orders some bits & bob’s from them a while ago. Still arguing with myself over whether I need some newt trainers that are a super bargain. |

jda, sounds annoying, sorry I don’t know the full circs but do know that in this area this Police will record the position and code of a key safe on addresses where vulnerable people live. Then if they do get called out again they can use the key rather than caise damage and expense.

Choosinator comes from the book group thread (I believe). I did a WhatsApp video call from my Mum’s so she could see Mrs D and the children. She was so happy to see them. |

Well, I’ve done it before but I can’t remember when, Christmas I think. Because of Mum’s dementia it was definitely a newt for her!
