Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

You know, sometimes I look at the lines taken and they make me wince. SB’s basic route is a work of genius, but frighteningly direct. That climb up to Slight Side that he’s doing now goes on forever and as is as steep as hell.

That climb and the one up Whinn Rigg have both taken the order of 50% longer than planned. Starting to look like he will be around 90 mins behind his schedule at Rossett but around 4.5 hours up on James. Which suggests he's now moving at a similar pace to James at this stage.

It looks like he’s picking up pace against the trophy now he’s done the climbing on the Scafells.

I see Open Tracking's total time, in the tops list NOT in the upper right of the screen, is wrong again.

Says 31:00:59 to Cold Pike, but the rolling time in top corner is correct at 30:28:03

You'd thnk they'd have managed to fix it by now ( assuming it's been pointed out to them !! )

I haven't checked through line by line this time, with James a few weeks ago, it was caused by him doing a top out of order compared with the order in Open Tracking

When’s the next sleep scheduled?

I was wondering that myself. I can't get to the schedule at the moment, so I would guess he'll push on after Cockley Beck and get Harter and Green Crag done, then a snooze above Seathwaite before the Wetherlam leg. I hope he took note of Tom's lines on that leg, he took a big chunk out of James last winter on the descent to Tilberthwaite.

The tracker has him going via Lad Stones so I guess he did take careful note 🙂
