Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Yesterday I finally got around to changing the tube which went pop during my last triathlon. Don't know why I put it off so long, it was very straightforward (once I'd watched a couple of Youtube clips about putting your bike in the right gear etc etc)
I'm reasonably confident that if I carry a spare tube with me, I could do it on the road.
But, and it's quite a big but (do your own jokes), I noticed that I also have a broken spoke. It has snapped off just where it hooks into the central hub bit.

Is this a big job to fix?

Haven't the faintest I'm afraid Nicholls. I am only just getting to grips with pumping up my tyres without letting all the air out by mistake :-(

Welcome Tracey

Nicholls, as Gobi says if you have a snapped spoke you could change it yourself, after you have sourced the right spoke and a spoke key, But the chances are that the wheel is already out of true or will be by the time you, in your rookie attempt have put a new one in and tried to get the tension right. But your not going to know until its all back together because you probably don't own a truing stand.

Go to the LBS.
