Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Sorry to hear that ES. I suffer with Atrial Fibrillation (and have for several years). It hasn't directly interfered with running as the condition is controlled by meds, (despite the docs on here telling me to go for ablation treatment, which I think I will do this year;)).

Keep running unless your docs tell you not to and keep monitoring it to make sure you spot any changes. Good luck

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like I should be fine to start again. Unfortunately the hospital lost my antibiotics when I was there and couldn't issue me more so I've been trying to get through to my GP....easier said than done...to get some prescribed again! As soon as I'm fit enough the chicken legs are out and I can run again.

My Dad had a heart arrhythmia and had an electric shock to reset it. He wasn't a runner, but he got back to cycling gradually keeping his HR low.

PH, my chicken legs are things of beauty, and I look hideous in running tights - the world cannot be rid of the delights of my twiglets!

Pricey, that's good to hear. Am itching to get out running, will see what the GP says tomorrow morning.

In theory, you should not be running with a chest in infection

Cheers Stumpy.

PH - I won't be running until it's gone, will get the GP to see how it's going. Just seem to have a bit of a cough at the mo, no need to rush back but I can't wait to run again - must be patient!
