It's a very good addition, so if you are familiar with the base game and starting to look for added variety, then go for it. One word of warning - make sure before buying that it's from the same generation of the game and that it's a compatible edition. (I wouldn't be able to use a current Seafarers expansion with my nearly-20-year old Settlers.)
