5k fun run tonight. Stayed dry at least. I remember running this one last year. Was sweltering :(

Nice wee crowd for food afterwards. Always the best bit about running :)

Columba I just find it a struggle to get back into it each Spring, this year harder than ever. It's probably as I had a lot of cba with the weather, was away a lot and I was injured.

Art'noon gonks. I've got a 10K race tonight, have been bunged up with a cold or hayfever for a few days so not sure how it'll go but should be a nice run even if I can't go for the club standard which I've been training for. :-)

Had our shingles jabs this morning and we both now have very sore upper arms but *touches wood* no other adverse effects.

Instead we've spent the afternoon at the Exeter plague house doing some chores and enabling T to go to bed and get some sleep. They really have been sideswiped by whatever virus this is. I'm also touching wood that I steer clear!!

10K was good. I was hoping to have a crack at sub 49 having done 49.58 at Chesterfield 10K a few months ago but I decided to be sensible as I'm bunged up and a bit sneezy so sub 50 and a bit of time off my SB was the plan.....

49.55. A whopping 3 seconds SMASHED off. 🤣
