Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

GregP - so you do wear it in bed then?

Hendo - well done. But you don't really want to go sub 20 or you'll have to leave this thread, won't you? I'd miss you.

Yes Gobi, I think Greg just needs some gentle persuasion to cane it a bit. :-)

Greg, you don't get away that easy, listen to Gobi and me, you have LOADS left in the tank so don't be afraid to push it in fact make sure you do. It will feel bloody hard BUT after even only a few session like that you will start to see your speed increase. You just need to push. Reward yourself with nice easy recovery runs.

Yes, you will feel it in your legs the next day for a bit. That's a good sign :-)

Snaps

not the case, I'm here and I think I am sub 20.

Greg, as Ian and I have both said YOU CAN GO A LOT FASTER. Ian is the HR training man and so will have his views on training paces. I am a pace from PBS trainer and then I watch my HR come down as I get better at running certain paces.

Either way, you can go a lot faster.

I've got a horrible suspicion I'm going to get either flamed or riduculed, but "PBS trainer"? Is what?

I think PBs. As in, taking your PB at a distance and working out paces based on that, like with the mcmillan calculator thingy, or maybe using vo2 max or whatever.

(And when it turns out that's not what he meant at all, you can all laugh at me too...)
