Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Ha, just done the maths and I didn't do 2000 miles last year, I did the maths wrong. I think 2000 miles will be a stretch goal, but it would be nice if I got there. 8.8Km/day...

I'm in, although I've initially set my target at 2400. But you never know what lies ahead for the year.

1860 miles -> 2000 miles isn't that much extra, that's an extra 12 miles a month, a couple of short runs extra or a medium run a month above what you'd normally do. If you normally do 35->40 miles a week (so 5 days a week running, 4 days 5-8 miles a day and one medium to long run a week) is what I do that normally gets me over the line. The marathon training pushes your mileage for a month over 200 normally and quickly you find yourself with miles to spare!

my 1877 was only that because of a planned change ie moving out of orthotics! Fully expect to do 2,000 plus this year with four ultras already planned for each season. The only nuisance factor might be if I don't adapt to orthotic free running but it's going well so far at low miles. Got a mountain run event (notice that I don't say race at this juncture!) on 19th March so will be packing in the miles soon.

Sounds like you should make it easy Torey.

Up 19 miles and I see Nelly already blazing ahead of me.... good to get some early miles under the belt. 10k on Sunday. Will have to run it twice (I normally do).

I'm only a handful of miles ahead of you Chris. I should be about 40% of the way to target by the end of my marathon in early April, but hitting mileage after then will be more of an issue.
