Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

I must admit it’s been nice this week not having to run. I’ll stick to another walk tomorrow then do a parkrun.

I do love a track finish! The start was a bit of a nightmare - very congested and over very soft mud.

I’ve spent the rest of the week feeling knackered…end of term beckons…

Wise week LL. No prizes for running too soon after a marathon where you've been on your feet for a long time .
Good running FF , squeezing time in to run is not the most pleasant training so you did well by upping the pace.
A damp morning yet again here in Wales. At least no wind and the trails weren't too sodden. 3.4 miles walk/run was all I could manage and I feel back to struggling again even walking quickly. It'll pass.

Well done FF for yesterday's 9.3 miles run.

Well done Steve for this mornings 3.4 miles walk/run.

The usual Friday Farmers Walk this morning, and tomorrow will be the last of the season for the local parkrun to be held in Wilverley Inclosure, before returning to the college grounds.

Struggled to keep up with fetch this week with various work trips and limited time at home.

Wow MrsB that is an incredible run esp on the back of a hectic week and impromptu dash home. Your training has def paid off. (It’s about my 10k time!)

How amazing to do a parachute jump then to go to Texas have the best time.

Great running and recovering and hope you C25K team do well Lesley.

I did a longer run yesterday cut short to visit in-laws normally I’d then carry on but the wind had drained me - woke this morning to a banging head, racing throat, cough and feeling like I’ve been in a tumble drier. So training halted which is not great as training should be peaking.

Well done Steve for this mornings 10k. I agree that it was definitely much colder.

Well done GG for yesterday's longer run.

I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling so rough since waking up this morning, and hope that you soon feel better. Very wise to take rest days from training.

A much higher than usual turnout for this mornings parkrun, 245, causing chaos for parking in the Inclosure and nearby parking area. I was very pleased with my 121st place, and 1st AG out of 3. The increase in numbers was probably because it was the last before reverting to the college grounds.

Thanks LL. Well done for first in AG and WAVA.

I ran a solo 7k in the forest this morning, as I thought it would have been drying out. I couldn't have been more wrong, lots of flooding, and deep mud on the trails. I had to keep changing course as the mud was ankle deep in places. Thankfully, I was wearing my trail shoes which helped.

Hope your lurgy disappears quickly gg.
Great result for you in park run hs, well done.
Park run organisers here, locally, try to get participants to travel in more sustainable ways than by car especially where the big one (700+) takes place. Bit unrealistic really.
There's a small one near here like yours LL, seldom more than thirty which would be more my cup of tea if I did such a thing!
Well done again for your very muddy 7k hs.

I sort of enjoyed my non outing morning although walked two miles in the chilly wind!
