Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Not sure, Pix. As I mentioned I my blog, the hill scores I get seem to be consistent. Hope your get a more accurate reading tomorrow.

Might be worth taking a look at the elevation profiles you're getting from the watch and comparing them to the real world - the altimeter on my Fenix 5x went a bit random-number-generator quite a while back, and never recovered.

Still trying to get to grips with Fenix so my take on it is S is Small and also less battery, standard on is long battery and X Is bigger and longer battery they have Pro and other models but don’t offer that much difference.

Roughly, yes. Size is the main determinant of battery life. Some of the models will also drain at different rates depending on what features they have/you use - playing music is a battery killer And solar will top up the battery a bit.
However they all have the battery manager so you can tell the watch what services you need and how long it needs to last for, and it will manage its power usages / GPS sampling accordingly. I assume there's a point where it becomes unusably "managed" but I've never hit it.
