Billericay 10k race.
"Dream" target was sub 65 mins, but more realistic was sub 70.
Poor preparation run up meant that the 70 was enough of a challenge. Had Simon to pace me which was good for at least 2 mins off the time.
Struggled for the last 2 km with a bit of run/walking -
Still didn't loose it completely. To be fair, the first 2km were pretty hard as well, and the next 2k. In fact it was all pretty hard going.
Really pleased to have an official sub 70 mins, but now the guys tell me I have to have 3 races in the same calendar year. So half marathon in Barcleona in Feb is great (assuming I get round!) but now I have to do the 5k and 10k again, and there was me thinking these were once in a lifetime events!

Really pleased when Luke text e result, made my day! You should be over the moon with this Tim and I am very impressed! 2013 has set a great foundation of which to build on and 2014 you will get stronger and stronger! WELL DONE
Congratulations Dad on your first official race! I was really pleased to see that you got well inside 70 minutes. The build up definitely wasn't ideal and this is a really good benchmark for the distance
Great effort today Dad. A tough distance to race and you perfomed admirably. Great job.
