KESWICK/BUTTERMERE ROUND. Absolutely loved, loved, loved this. And to think I'd been too scared to have a go. They always say the greatest rewards come when you go outside your comfort zone. Indeed. Running down from Honister Pass into that beautiful valley in the sunshine is one of my running highlights. That'll still stand out at the end of the year for sure (possible entry for fave race of the year already). Splits all over the place due to undulatingness, but I was feeling fine and strong on the run in, and could easily have been running 9 minute miles on the flat. Elise was struggling a bit after big BG training day yesterday, and I wanted to finish together, and wasn't bothered about a minute here or there, so just told her to run quicker and we ran in together. But I COULD have been doing target mara pace (after a 50 mile week) and I take a lot of confidence from that :). This event is just fecking ace and awesome!
