Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

St Neots half.
Good seeing HOD (who scored a PB by giving me an earful before I'd even parked my car :D ), DocM, and a couple of non-Fetchies on the way (also the one who walked straight past me in the car park and ran straight past me at the start without a hello - I'm assuming you *don't* know who you are :) ). Doc ran an excellent
race, having a really good year.
Positive: SB by over a minute, but it's been a bad year. A full 8 minutes slower than same course last year, over a minute slower than my slowest time at what is normally a pretty quick route for me. Set out targeting 1:50, was more or less on until 16km or so then my legs wouldn't do the pace any more. Managed to push on the last couple of km enough to come in faster than Cambridge Half, which is something. Don't think I had any more today, really. Don't know if it's age, a bit of lost CV capacity from the last bout of Covid, or just really poor training, not remotely polarised enough this year.

Well run. I hear you, though
Badger
Thanks. I think the way my legs feel says it ain't my lungs!
LindsD
Aha. It's the opposite for me.
Badger
Fingers crossed for that clearing eventually
LindsD
Thanks. I probably just need to lose some weight and do some speedwork.
Badger
Same goes for me tbh
LindsD
:( :)
