Norton 9 - Calf went between 1 & 2 - should have probably pulled out at that point but having driven over there felt should at least try and run through it. Managed to hang onto Jed Turner to about 4 miles but whenever we hit wind or hills struggled to push off my right leg. Held off the temptation to walk / DNF as I reckon it could be habit forming. Seemed a nice enough course and may need to go back and do myself justice at some point in the future.

Sounds like a bugger but your time was still fairly respectable. Did you set off too quick or something. Starting with a 5.45 seems a bit quick to me. Who's Jed Turner?
First mile was down hill and wind behind so relatively comfortable. JT is just a V50 I tend to finish around and about. Not sure if it was warming up in different trainers to racing in. Struggling today - ice and rest for a while
