Thanks. Pleased with that one, though I may need to ease back on the cadence work this week as I think that and the parkrun have contributed to the tightness in the hamstring.
I find the quicker cadence helps my hamstring as long as the stride length is shorter. If you pushed the Parkrun than you probably ran at a quicker cadence and longer stride length which may have tightened the hamstring (in my experience)
I think you nailed it with that diagnosis! My stride length at parkrun was 144cm, which is quite a bit more than usual. It was 154cm at the same parkrun about a year ago when I last messed up my hamstring, so hopefully I've dodged a bullet this time around as long as I ease back sufficiently.
