thanks Baz - yes would be good to see you on the start line and near the end too just like 2013. I think that was my last PB....

Welcome amabs. Tell us your story - what's your running background, and what's your plan for your 2015 marathon training?

BS, seriously, there are still marathons left in 2014? Which ones? Used to be Luton was one of the last - is it still going? Best of luck to anyone still marathoning in 2014! :-) G

Yeah RFJ, you finished well that day to get a PB, my race had been run and was finished by that point, tried to hang on with you, but was shown a clean pair of heels :-)

Happy, we have plenty left over here. There are a couple of marathon groups who run them on a regular basis, low key but also 1 or 2 bigger races. My next is Wednesday then another on NYE, we've a midnight one in the pipeline too.

Miss Luton. Not as in Miss World. I never saw anything that attractive anywhere on the three laps. but it was a good way to finish the year and reasonably fast if it wasn't icy.

If you're doing next spring, stick me down for Windermere (but it will be a secondary target to L100 so may get downgraded)

Thanks for the warm welcome. Been running casually for around 8/9 years, completed 6 marathons, most recent the Dublin one last month with a 16 min PB (came in at 3:28). This was the first marathon I really training for (12 wk of a program of sort) Hoping to really kick on now in 2015, targetting 3:15 in Dusseldorf and a sub 3 hr attempt towards end of year. Training plans... plan on starting around 5th Jan for a 16 wk program or so. What races is everyone targeting in 2015? Based in Ireland so our path prob won't pass too much anyway!

Plenty of Fetchies in Ireland amabs! BS, heffaroo, paul the builder (our thread leader) and many, many more (apologies if I've mixed North and South there - I'm orange/green/blue blind I'm afraid!)

Sounds like you're coming on very quickly. I'm sure with some focussed training plans you'll get your times down further and further. Best of luck. (I'm not really a 3:15 marathoner any more - I did a few over last few years, but targeting ultra marathons now, so times tend to be more in the 10-20 hours range!) :-) G

Haha, I can always guarantee I will know a few of these people, Ireland is too small a place! Had around 7 1-1 coaching sessions with a top coach back in July and that really gave me a kick I needed. Fair play HappyG, not sure I could handle being on my feet that long!

Yes paul, but you're special! ;-) You could have 3 marathons in a weekend! Seriously, does anyone know where paul (the builder) is? We're missing his even paced wit. :-) G
