I'd like a pizza if there's one going. I've virtually cut out beer lately and I'm hoping that will make a difference in the end to the weight but nothing happened so far.

Finders, my youngest is 10. She's been a feral kid since before she was 8 ... seriously, I've let all my kids make their own decisions about when they're ready to flap their wings. The two middle ones (14 and 11) are much less adventurous by nature than the youngest.
When my kids went to a posh prep school, a lot of the mums were decorative-rather-than-functional ladies and I hated social events because they'd compete to see who could eat the least and I'm a lick-the-plate-clean-and-burp-loudly diner. Most of us were probably what would now be size zero. It was just the size that most women were in those days unless they "let themselves go".

its outrageous. I had a delivery of the 1st sofa (that had to go back) as a slot 10am-2pm. I got back from the school run at 9.30am to find a lorry parked across the entrance to my drive, i pulled up and said "i think you're waiting for me, can i get on my drive please" and he huffed and puffed, took a bite from his pasty and said "can't you just park somewhere else, i've put the break on now".
Bloody cheek!

Dr Bob - i try to stop drinking for weeks on end but it doesn't make any diff to my weight or my training. I ran my best ever 10k with a hangover.

ElBee, given a structured training schedule you'll get really fast! You've obviously got basic speed on your side which is a huge advantage compared to poor unfortunates like myself.

My bones wouldn't allow me to be a size 0. I was skinny for a time, i size 8 when i was early twenties and my hip bones were bruised just from sleeping. I'm happy being a 12, i think....sort of, well, i've accepted it

I ran a good half marathon a few years ago during a very brief return to running (well it wasn't that great, 1.28 but better than I'd expected) based largely on playing football and drinking beer. I had such a bad hangover that I really shouldn't have driven to the race and had to stop early on or i was going to chuck up. Don't recommend it though!
Shame about the boobies
