Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

We have an old Chinese lady in ours who's always farting. She cracks us all up. :)

Farting is allowed ;-). There are actually some yoga poses that can be used to encourage the expelling of intestinal gases :-o!

I'm going to try and find one that is a bit *more* Ommmy! I tried the Ashtanga at our gym a couple of times and it's too quick for me. I used to enjoy a Hatha (I think) class, that was mostly stretching, some balance and a tiny bit of strength, but quite a lot of relaxation with bits of Ommming! At Christmas we did a chant that was actually quite fun. We were all in the mood for it!

Is Hatha the term I'm looking for? Is there another word or description that I should look out for that is used for the style of yoga that I described above?

Thanks Yogurts. :-) G

The slightly-mommy class that I do is billed as Hatha and is exactly as you describe it :)

Hatha is a general term for yoga and classes can be for strength, balance, relaxation or all three.

This might help.

That's a really good link. Can thread admin stick it in the header perhaps?

Presumably that would be plodding hippo unless she's passed ownership on to someone else.
