RIP Bella, sad for you all.

What a gorgeous photo of her & Flossie
Hello thread, I lurk here because dogs are fun & interesting to read about, until it gets sad like this!

So sorry to hear that news LD, it is the hardest decision to make, but it was the kindest for Bella.
That's a lovely photo, I hadn't seen it before... treasure those memories xx

Thanks all. I just had a text from my sister: 'I have four carrier bags full of balls Bella found on her walks. How many would Flossie like?' :-) Bella was incredibly good at sniffing out balls lost by other dogs.

We have had the first fledgling casualty of the spring.....Every year the blackbirds encourage their littleys into the same place and every year (unless we see them first) Wanda kills them.

She is grizzling and pestering me to let her go in the garden (and even refused to go for a walk earlier) but she won't be going out into the garden until there are no fledglings about, if I can help it anyway. I hope they have a second brood :-(

Good luck D2... perhaps you need to put a bid in for some of those balls that Bella found... I am sure Bryony can put them to good use and it might take her mind off the cattle ;-)

I think it would take full strength mind altering drugs to distract her from the fact that there are "live things" in her field

Good luck D2 I hope Bryony becomes accustomed to the cattle quickly - and they to her too, because no doubt they'll be a bit frisky to start with!
