Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

How's Freya doing LD?

I think we have realised this week just how important arlo is to us and how much he has helped us get through last year. My partner said she was just sat with him the other day and was crying because he makes us so happy.

I'm also quite happy with where we have got him to training wise. (Don't get me wrong, still a pain, but he is our pain). Currently destroying every toy he gets hold off and ripping them apart but it's only his toys and not furniture.

He also ran further from us than he ever has in the woods yesterday. Ignored us shouting but as soon as I blew the whistle, he came straight back. Turns out he had the scent of a deer, so I was chuffed with him for responding.

She seems to be settling down nicely. Only got them up twice the first night, Hattie, their 2 year old is accepting if not over the moon, and she is certainly very pretty. I 'll upload a photo, hang on...

Wow, she is really beautiful. Make sure to get lots of photos. While I have so many of arlo now, I feel like he grew so quickly and I missed getting as many when he was little.

Ooh exciting LD!

I appear to be growing a puppy!

(My poor garden will need fencing if I want to actually grow something ๐Ÿ™„)

Albie still feels hard work but I think there are some improvements. He is waiting by the back door for toilet trips, sit is coming on but still can be variable and dare I say it the bitiness is a tiny bit better (apart from in the middle of our walk this morning ๐Ÿ˜ฎ).

I do really miss a lie in with cup of tea in bed and just going out running or to do something else for as long as I want, whenever I want. I also miss reading/watching TV without either being jumped on or him barking/crying. Iโ€™m finding it hard to keep on top of cleaning the house (trying to manage puppy care/play/walks/training, work, running, looking after the house and finding some relaxation mostly by myself isnโ€™t easy).

I know I need to be patient and he will let me do more and more of those things :-)

It feels like it lasts forever Pen, but you are already noticing improvements and you won't realise when it becomes easier, it just does. We were about 4 months in and we sat and looked back and that's when we realised just how much easier it was.

And the clean house, my partner is ocd and we used to clean the whole house weekly, but while upstairs is still like that, downstairs is a totally different house now ๐Ÿ˜‚ I genuinely arlo has relaxed her with the cleaning.
