Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Flossie doesn't like the magpies who have taken up residence in the garden in the last couple of years, and the pigeons are also in her bad books, but blackbirds and smaller are simply watched from a lying down position on the grass or decking! I suppose the bigger birds might prick some latent 'retrieving' instinct in her, whereas the smaller ones don't.

George is like Wanda and knows exactly which trees, bushes, etc contain nests. In his book, if it moves and it's within reach, it needs despatching. :(

Rory likes to stare, and stare, and point, and then lunge and bark so that every bird and small mammal in the county knows he’s coming. He’s pretty good at ‘despatching’ his toys, but I’ve noticed he doesn’t shake them the way his mate Freddie (sproker spaniel) does, and the few times he’s had the chance to catch an already injured bird he’s given a good impression of total panic, dropped it and run away.

Basically there’s a reason why he lives with me in Hampshire now instead of in Seville with a Spanish farmer: He’s defective. :-)

George and Wanda would get on famously I feel.....

Either that or they would try to despatch each other anyway.... :-)

LOL at BBL. I think they'd probably get on, actually. He likes girls more than boys. Unless it's a female chocolate lab puppy - those he just tolerates ;)

Yes, D - it was funny how he managed to ignore such a large dog with so much personality :)

Rory doesn’t appear to ‘see’ horses or cows - it must be something similar!
