Without getting political, but it's the only way the idiots in charge have of making a no deal Brexit work.... a bonfire of all rights , turn UK into a sweatshop to make it "more attractive to investors". Bring your business here and we will look the other way if you trample all over human/animal rights. It is awful.

Fox hunting?? Only thing I could think of. Chrisull you make a lot of sense, sadly.
We had a brilliant walk today. Ernie was a total star. Then when I was out the back washing the car I looked up and he was standing on the dining table so he could see me. Sigh!

I've copied here what my daughter (Fetchie Jude) commented on fb.........
Appalling. There is an existing law from the 70’s which gives some protection but it’s not ‘sentience’ as modern laws define it. Basically allows us to import meat from countries with much lower farming and slaughter standards. (Having seen it first hand in the US, Brazil, Egypt etc it’s appalling) It’s disgusting and they should all be completely ashamed of themselves. I’m also very disappointed that they either haven’t consulted experts and public opinion or they have and have either been badly advised or have decided to ignore it as economics are more important. OR, they feel that they had no choice because we are so screwed financially by Brexit that they feel they have acquiesce to compete. Either way it’s a massive backwards step and a disgrace. Very very sad day for human kindness and respect for our fellow being. We deserve all we get as we continue to behave like this to the planet and it’s Wonder.

Impressed with Petplan: Handed in claim form for Ollie's treatment to date at vets last Tuesday for them to complete the medical side and send off. Money is in my account this morning.

We all had a really enjoyable walk on Camber Sands today.
Wanda is a complete sweetheart. It's beyond belief that anyone would think otherwise.
She and Jess got on very well straight away. If dogs aren't instant 'besties' then almost complete indifference is absolutely the next best thing.
In different ways they are both, um, 'nervy' dogs. Wanda because she had an unpleasant (at best) start to life and Jess because she's a GSD. Even the most laid back GSD - as D2 will tell you - is never that laid back. But it was great to see how relaxed they were in each other's company. Wanda was even tolerant when Jess nicked her ball.
Oh and the four humans were all pretty relaxed too.
'Just a pity they don't live nearer,' Raffo said afterwards.
And that is high praise indeed.
