The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free.
But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient.
Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead.
Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?
I hold the muzzle and put pieces of chicken in it and just let Wanda take them out then move on to holding the muzzle but with the chicken in my hand under it so she has to have her face in there a bit longer as I poke the chicken through the holes for her - not doing the muzzle up at this stage just nose in, get the chicken, nose out.
Then I do the muzzle up and give lots of chicken through the holes again and take it off after a few seconds, building up to minutes.
The next thing - I will start doing this out on a walk, popping the muzzle on her, lots of chicken, walk a little bit, chicken becomes more intermittent.
She doesn't like the muzzle and I doubt she ever will be exactly 'happy' to wear it but I don't want her to be fearful/very miserable when wearing it and if she sees it as a giver of high quality treats that might help.
We have a holiday coming up fairly soon and we'll be visiting unfamiliar places so its best to be prepared for a situation where we may feel that Wanda and ourselves will be safer from unpredictable people/dogs by muzzling her. As I've said before - nothing get you your own space quicker than a Staffie in a muzzle usually!
During "call away from distraction" in our silver class today a Great Dane did his return to handler via Indi .... which was intimidating but only play apparently... now me and him know how small dogs feel
Speed is great for agility, hp. It's great if you can keep up - but really you just need to be quick and clear with your commands, communication is what counts! I've seen lots 'slow' women do well with fast dogs! Especially small dogs for some reason, but that could just be coincidence!
There are fireworks displays all over the place tonight, which have been going on at about ten minute intervals for the last hour. We had intended to go out this evening but Wanda is absolutely going nuts every time (not scared as such but manic barking and trying to chase. Every time we think they must have finished now, they start up again. I've now let Wanda out in the garden to have a good bark, something we try not to encourage but frankly if the neighbours are going to annoy Wanda all evening Wanda can annoy them for ten minutes
Not such a great day today. 5 faults in Novice Jumping was fine, but then a very long delay while queuing for the Brillo Bounce jumping meant Jet got noise stressed and he didn't want to play after that. 3 'E's, all while he was trying to avoid eye contact.
You can see his second search for an escape route on the live stream from the other ring here:

From 57:10 to 57:45.
Luckily they were changing the jump height at the time so he didn't interrupt anyone's round. We're having a quiet day tomorrow.
But he has done so well to get to this stage Helegant, the occasional off day can only be expected and I'm sure he'll be enthusiastic for it after a rest.
