Pitch sizes can be variable. In England the FA stipulates:-

These are usually slightly larger than the FA's recommendations, measuring between 112 and 115 yards long and 70 to 75 yards wide.

Can be highly variable, to account for available space, and also kids vs adult football. The park by me has two pitches. Iirc, one is only about 54 yards wide, the other 58. So on the smaller, the penalty box nearly reaches the touchline.

(Stenhousemuir used to have the second largest playing surface in Scotland, after Rangers.)
