Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I've entered the marathon distance as I usually run 30 - 35 miles per week. Not usually interested in virtual events, but as this was free and linked to Running Heroes it was a no brainer.

100K for me, agree it does seem simpler to plan than VWHW but suspect I might have more of a challenge completing it as now back in work

We're allowed to travel more than 5 miles to exercise now so it's opened up more routes 😊

I'm entered for the Ultra but suspect I may be a DNS having pulled a hamstring while attempting to avoid an impact with the scenery this afternoon. :(

Hope everybody enjoys themselves and will still be following as MrsCA is doing the marathon. Would be really good is somebody, as Mrs S did for the vWHW, is able to provide some local knowledge and experience as the week progresses.

I'm due to do the marathon, and was confident I had challenging but do-able off roads routes locally.

But with the easing of lockdown, we are heading to our seaside house for the week and I've just been trying to work out some circular routes (I was aiming for four, 6 or 7 mile routes to complete the distance.)

If I was prepared to use a bus I could get one and then run home but I'm not sure about sitting on a bus just yet :-(

I'm doing the marathon, my runs will be a mix of road and trail. I don't have time through the week to drive anywhere to get proper off road.
