Had a good few years in the wilderness when I lost my gaming zeal, but recapturing it now. Still pissed off that people told me growing up that there's no money in gaming - with pro-gamers earning silly money, and gaming as a sector dwarfing other entertainment sectors in takings. That said, I'll bet most of the games on this list won't hit the spot for me. Popular does not mean good (Fortnite & PUBG are spent forces now, Fifa XX yawn, Call of Duty plus endless clones).

It is a bit like film industry economics though. Lot's of people creating games earning less than they could earn using their skills elsewhere, in the hope of striking it lucky that their next thing becomes a blockbuster.
