Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Mountaincraft and sheer bloody mindedness plus a decent pair of wellington boots are what’s needed

Given the current state of the ground wellies will just fill up when you go in past your knees. Either chest high waders or accept your feet are going to be wet and wear shoes that drain well.

That's painting such a welcoming scene!!

I went out for my first proper run in about 3 weeks yesterday and was surprised by the lack of dampness underfoot. It was much drier, stickier mud than I expected, perhaps helped by some of the wind. Different place entirely mind. If I have chance I might head west this weekend to see the difference.

I was surprised how dry the ground was on our Wednesday night social run but we weren’t on the Pennine Way, and dry is a relative term

Elaine is 109 she’s one of our club runners. She’s had a great 2022 lots of 2nd place finishes so hoping she manages the win this year.

Fair play to anyone ‘racing’ this week. For the vast majority it’ll be about finishing (and keeping safe)

Temperature is about 3 degrees here near Haworth. There was some hail in snow and a gritter has not long driven by. We’re at around 530 feet above sea level. I suspect conditions across in the Pennines will be challenging tonight

Yes. We worked out a rough guesstimate schedule and she’s slightly ahead of that. Having tea now at the burger van by the M62 I think (her, not me)

A club mate (I think he might have changed clubs actually but he’ll always be a mate), has been out and just seen Stef. She’s fine
