Either chest high waders or accept your feet are going to be wet and wear shoes that drain well.

I went out for my first proper run in about 3 weeks yesterday and was surprised by the lack of dampness underfoot. It was much drier, stickier mud than I expected, perhaps helped by some of the wind. Different place entirely mind. If I have chance I might head west this weekend to see the difference.

We’re at around 530 feet above sea level. I suspect conditions across in the Pennines will be challenging tonight
