Think my Dengie was at Bradwell. Highlights were a shortened 200m swim (sea too rough to exit the harbour), a bike leg with 40mph winds sharing the route with a cycle sportive then a run round the grounds of a nuclear power station.
Surprisingly the WTC didn’t swoop for it and then call it Ironman 70.3 Dengie Essex....

Meanwhile, we’re on the West Coast. It can be one of the nicest places on Earth.

I bought a wheel, cassette and turbo tyre to fit on my road bike. The idea was that I could easily and quickly swap out when/if an opportunity to get outside presented itself.
It’s a psychological thing. It made me feel better all Winter to know that I wasn’t "strapped to the Turbot"; the reality was that I never changed the wheel until Spring. I’ve just bought a Wattbike.

Lammo carbon lovelies should not go on the turbo.
Main reason is that carbon bike frames are designed to be strong in certain places, weak in others (to save weight).
Anchoring the bike to a turbo increases the stresses, and changes where they occur. Frames can crack and fatigue.
Other reasons as well - potential sweat corrosion, wear and tear but frame is the main one.
eBay a bike for the turbo, save the carbon lovely for next Spring.
