Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I see the Alphaflys are available for Nike members to pre-order, if anyone has £260 burning a hole in their pocket...

You’re right AJLB, I saw them and there was a brief flurry of excitement between a few of my clubmates this morning. I can’t quite get excited about them though tbh. Perhaps it’s just the current situation means that we’re not exactly focussed on racing?

You going in for them now or biding your time a little more?

Clicked like a sucker straight away - maybe daft as besides there being no races to defray the cost with prize money, I can't run at the moment due to a DVT! Still, I imagine there'll be a healthy second-hand market...

I'll find it hard to justify with no races.....OTOH...new shoes.....maybe faster....click!

Oddly couldn't find on them the app at all, or even on the website without specifically searching the name.

Finally tested out by Next%

short version is: they did what they promised

longer version: I caught one in the front door on my way out and tore the mesh!

fetcheveryone.com/blog/60676/2020/05#406912

Any tips? Is there any way to fix/patch it?

Found this after a google - haven't tried it, so cannot vouch for its effectiveness.

If you don't want a patch on the outside as described by swittle's link ( good find !! ) I'd try cutting a piece of duct tape maybe about 1cm larger all round than the tear, and apply it on the inside ( hopefully you can get your hand down there if you take the laces out ).

Optionally you could then apply a thin film of Shoe Goo or equivalent on the outside to seal of any loose threads
