Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

It reminded me most of Diana Wynne Jones and I love her so that’s a compliment - eight days of Luke did something clever with Greek gods. And Carabonel who was a great fictional character. I particularly liked the relationship with the witch girl.

We taught all our babies to go downstairs backwards and uphill into a graveyard would be a long toddle but I wasn’t really going to get picky that a child’s fantasy take wasn’t very realistic

This was my first foray with Gaiman, which is strange as I'm a huge Pratchett fan.

Really enjoyed this and found it very easy to read. Loved the different language styles of the dead according to when they had lived. Quite a few LOL moments too!

Just read back. Having not read or seen any HP I can't comment on the similarities or not! I also liked the witch girl, and her 'not talking' to Bod!

Mrs Shanksi, I'm also rubbish at reviewing books. I either like or dislike them, but very rarely can put my finger on the reasons!
