I have, in the very distant past, when I chaned myself to gates of nuclear power stations in the Netherlands, read that both options are viable. Personally, untill we find a way to neutralise and re-use the rest material, nuclear power is a nono! |

It was rather humiliating! I was only 16 so when we were cut loose and arrested, they called my dad to come and pick me up! So I was driven off in my dad's car, in the "child's seat" while the others went in the riot van to the police station? 😂😂😂

The new Dutch government which is 3hours old has two climate problems - its Nitrogen Crisis being very acute. significant funds set aside to de-intensify Dutch Farming - which will then let them do other things - like build houses. plantbasednews.org |

The Dutch struggle, big time! Have you seen the pig farms? Like multi-story car parks for pigs. Horrid and why my brother in law, pig specialist vet, no longer is a vet. He could not cope with pumping antibiotics and growth hormones into the poor things, as that was what his job became.

I really despair, as this intensive meat and dairy production can simply be reduced to manageable levels IF and this is the issue, we were prepared to eat less and better quality, i.e. grass fed, free range, organic meat and dairy. Also we, as a nation, consume far too much dairy... Pumped full of antibiotics to prevent mastitis and growth hormones and pregnancy hormones to keep a good flow of milk. It is not healthy or sustainable!

In favour of the Netherlands' environmental credentials, I heard yesterday they had stabilised the bee population with some direct intervention(s) last year. I shall try to find a quotable source for that!
