Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Another update after fasting (5:2 style ) yesterday, I woke up hungry and knew I would be waiting until 14:00 before I could eat again and then fast again tomorrow. I think I will stop my version of the EOD diet and eat normally on a feast day. I have to say I did feel a bit better after eating, even though I have now lost nearly a stone, I have done my usual, all or nothing and most times it was nothing. Alternative fasting is easy if you eat on feast days as you are meant too.

right, I think I'm going to have a crack at this. I'm planning to fast on Tuesdays and Thursdays as this has the best fit with work/uni. Wish me luck ;)

Good luck! I haven't been regularly fasting for a month or two now, with marathon coming up, and with new working pattern sometimes meaning I do 'mini-fasts' (i.e. too busy to even think about tea)!

Good luck Susiesue - you will get used to it, so stick with it!

I'm sticking with the 6:1 and have been for a while now - it seems to work quite well as a maintenance strategy for staying somewhere around my ideal racing weight! Fasting on a Monday hasn't got any more enjoyable, but I have got used to it now and sometimes it feels almost like a relief to be fasting after a weekend of pigging out!

so far so, erm, tolerable! I green veg & fruit smoothie for breakfast and a snack of almonds & dried fruit for later. Much tea and water being consumed to keep me occupied
