Wow Dr Fleecy, 45 pages is about a third of my entire thesis!

um
My MBA project write up (long time ago) was 22k words, 55 pages. How did you write so much extra (unnecessary) stuff Dr F ? You could have been running, bouncing or pottering instead.
(at least deleting it means you don't have to worry about correcting it later)

Well done, DrF! I really HATED doing my corrections. There were tears.

Corrections are like the stitches after childbirth: painful but without the natural painkillers and drama of delivery They were quite minor so I just chipped away at them until I got there. The extra 45 pages were mostly quotes, that chapter was a big qualitative synthesis so the first draft was a bit of a brain dump before focusing on the most important stuff. It’s still not as good as it could be but there’s plenty of great stuff in there and hopefully some of it will make it into papers

Thanks everyone. Yes carp safemedicate. Exam done. I took the whole hour that I was allowed. I had two conversions I was so strung up on I couldn't think straight. I must have spent at least five minutes on each one of them, working it out then checking them. I did reverse calculations to double check them then checked it all over again three times! I made notes of all the types of questions I have previously made silly mistakes on and rechecked them despite already checking the answer three times after doing it the furst time. In the end I felt like my brain was going to explode and I had number blindness. Oh well it is what it is and we do get more chances on this one if we don't make the 100% first time (rather worrying though that they're willing to let you retake a test you have to get 100% in or is that just me? I wouldn't want to be a patient on the other end of a miscalculation. It is all really quite stressful but it will be what it will be)
Made a start on essay plan at least.
I will head to the gym tonight to 'work it out' 😂 PT tomo morning then no gym until Wednesday 😯😨

We used to share a corridor with pharmacy. They'd regularly have students hanging around waiting to do the dispensing test (100% threshold). I got the impression they were essentially allowed to take it as many times as they needed until they passed.

Dr Fleecy, in my transfer viva, I was told that one of my chapters would be better of as an appendix (which doesn't count towards the word count, curses. I felt like a huge chunk of work I had done had just been 'disappeared'. Trouble is they're right, double curses.

I had to delete a whole chapter after my viva. I should have made an article of it. But I didn't...
