Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Wow Cyclops, do you want to hazard a guess at how many "should" be there?

We have 104 out of around 610 in my primary. The all-through I'm a governor for has just had it's first bereavement in the community, the father of a year 8 and 2 primary pupils. And now the mother has tested positive too.

The numbers in school are huge this time. Something like 270 out of 400ish at my primary school said they were eligible and a lot are taking up their place. A letter went out today asking parents to only send their child on days they really need to...

The school bus that stops outside my back garden deposited 4 children from the senior school today Usually, about 12 catch it in the morning, so 1/3 of usual intake.
Have offered my services as an unpaid TA or sci-tech or whatever they need (to the business manager who employed me at our previous school) , but haven't heard back.

So our lateral flow tests have picked up a Positive. Only the PE chap, who sees practically the whole school. And I had to chase him for his result, and then alert SLT because he didn't do that either...

Oh cripes LouiseRuns. I have my first trip into a teaching lab tomorrow, so I need to get a rapid test (first one ever). Not sure what will happen to the practical I'm running on Friday if I come back positive (would be really weird if it did).

The setup at work is should be totally fine. When you're in a lab with 15 fume cupboards running at a time the number of air changes per hour is probably well into double figures, it's probably the safest place to be if you want to meet with other people. I'm less happy about how I'll manage with masks, walkie talkies and being 15 ft away from everyone, but hopefully I'll be able to test that tomorrow.

Hope all goes well, Grast_girl.

Fortunately, with it being half term, most of the year groups involved will only miss a couple of days, and our remote provision is fairly good now.
