Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

the down side of biscuit medals is, if left in the wrong place, the cat can eat them!

We bought a set of cute biscuit based Xmas decorations in Ecuador. They baked the biscuit shapes then painted on regular inedible paints to render them permanent. Our dog, who loved all flour based foodstuffs, was not fooled and ate several before we caught her.

She was unaffected and lived for another 13 years. We still use the uneaten ones after 20+ years.

Sorry to bring bad news but the Sri Chinmoy 5km road race ( including the 5k championship) opened and sold out last night.

Darn! Next year, then.

On race entry numbers: with some exceptions, do you think numbers are a bit down this year? I'm thinking of entering the Cupar 5 mile (Saturday coming) but there was, last night, only 83 entries. I'd rather have some people around me at the back.

If anyone is swithering about the Falkirk 10k trail race on the 24th, that only had 5 places left.

Hmm, not sure I'm entering enough to have a view Dv. But I'd say it has changed - big ones going quickly and smaller, maybe some of the more traditional ones, falling by the wayside? I don't know what that is. :-) G

Apparently 350 entries for the Gartmorn 6 yesterday and only 200 trapped.
