Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Dv - I've entered Glen Lyon Trail race, which is 15.5 miles around Loch Lyon on 6th June. The RO has the landowner permission and is a very remote area, so hopefully can go ahead.

Sorry to read and see that you're still out of action Baz, hope things are ok if you have a trial at the weekend

Ooh, never heard of the strava shake thing before !

I didnt know that and it will explain some of the parkrun kudos I received. Doesnt explain the odd kudos on solo runs from people in Italy, South Africa etc that I have received. I have seem Moscow and Nigeria as well which made me wary

The Moray Coastal Trail race is still on despite the deputy race director being due to deliver a baby around then. The RD is the father so it could be tricky even without Covid! Some of the route kid really quiet, other parts are popular with walkers.

I guess I am entered for the Kirkie 10k in June and the Neil McCover Half in Oct carried over from last year.

The Benbecula half was cancelled last night. Had the faintest of hopes for this as it’s one I really want to do.

Ach well, here’s to 2022.

An interesting comment from the Minutes of my Club’s committee meeting. Scottish Athletics do not expect mass events to commence before October.

Stirling might be very busy on the 24th of October. I wonder if they envisage a halfway house before then?

Do we have a feel for roughly how many participants would constitute a "mass event" ?
Are we talking hundreds or thousands ??

October. Just in time to cross our fingers that new variants or other unexpected issues don't send us back into another tailspin.

I wasn’t at the meeting. I only read the minutes. My guess is Thousands? Definitely a mass event. Low hundreds ? Probably not a mass event.
