Spotlight is on it now. ![]() ![]() One of our mates worked in that area in the 80s. Shows how long it's taken to get to perfecting / prototyping the technology. Then it was optical electronics, but was always moving in this direction. ![]() |

Joking apart though, true photonic computing though will be orders of magnitude faster, with lower energy consumption and no cooling / overheating problems, all import from a climate and resources point of view. ![]() |
