Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

On the back of run free's campaign to reduce single use plastic.

Fetch, how about you consider sourcing a sensibly priced, quality collapsible cup for when you get your shoppe back up and running?

I'm sure you'd have a market for it here.

Say what you like about beer snakes. They're no Derek Pringle.

True, although he has contributed to many beer snakes in his time*

I'm not sure that's true. At least at Chelmsford beer was still served in glasses (lager) or jugs (bitter) back in the 'uncovered pitches and no test cricket on Sundays' era. At least in the members'. No idea what happened in the paying public stands. They probably ate their young or something.

Wriggling Snake
I have already been to a game with the reusable pint glasses. I can say they don't work because after 4 pints pre-lunch you pretty much lose track of things, where your seat is, where your mates are, you shirt etc. and have to go an buy another glass anyway. Also, late in the day an extra quid makes no difference when you are 3 sheets to the wind.

They do make for solid but rather straight snakes.

A collapsible cup would make for expensive beer spillage but could be pretty useful at a race and I am all for that.
