Yes definitely. I like it when the finishing announcer has the list of names and calls out your name as you stagger over the line.

Stander
You naysayers are all miserable grumpy barstards.
I always do any race in my Fetch top - although fetch name printed on it not real name.
My fetch name does sometimes prompt people to ask me if I am South African though.

I'm trying to work out how to get my name on my anniversary fetch top without ruining the design.

Q Mac
At the recent Cardiff Half - didn't have a choice, the race sponsor printed it on the number, which I personally thought was a nice touch

Happening at a lot of races now QMac
At this rate I'll have to change my name by Deed Poll so I can get 'sioux' printed on.

Spleen
At the Bristol Half the elites at the front get their name on their label whereas the rest of us get a number.
I'm actually not that keen on race labels having your name, because I habitually fill out forms with the name I was christened with, but in everyday life - and on my vest - I use a shortening. It would annoy me a bit if people shouted "Come on Jonathan" instead of "Come on Jon" (not my real name). I would guess it's also very annoying for people who don't like their first name and use their middle.

Spleen that's why I like it when it asks what you want on your number.
I have been a few times and depending whether racing as a fetchie (sioux) or as a fri pub member (Dave) have been able to have nickname of choice.
Other races where I know they do it but haven't been asked I specify what I want but don't always get it.
They never spell my first name correctly anyway.

Merry Christmas & Happy New G(rrr)
In races with a commentator, it's awesome when you hear on the finishing straight, "And it's Abbly Babbly from Clubbily AC finishing strongly" or whatev. I've even got a finish line video with Bryan Burnett, of Radio Scotland commentating on my finish. It's bril! G
